YouTuber Xing’s World has returned with a major update to his viral Cat Town project, revealing that he has now completed the full subway station after spending two years building the miniature city.

The creator, whose real name is Xing Zhilei, previously went viral in 2025 after showcasing a fully functional subway system built specifically for his cats. The miniature station featured working train cars, automatic doors, and even escalators sized for pets.

Now, months later, Xing has expanded the project even further.

Cat Town subway expands for Lunar New Year

On February 11, Xing uploaded a two-minute video titled Riding the Cat Subway to the Cat School in time for Chinese New Years, showing off new additions to Cat Town.

In the video, he confirms that he has completed the full subway station just in time for Lunar New Year celebrations.

“Just in time for Chinese New Year, I finished making the full Cat Town subway station,” Xing said in the clip. “The pets can now experience the entire process of riding the subway just like us humans.”

He explained that last year’s subway station build went viral worldwide, which motivated him to expand the concept into a fully realized station modeled after real subway systems in China.

The latest update shows cats lining up at a miniature customer service window, boarding the working train, and riding it to a tiny school in Cat Town. The story of the video follows a cat named Mr. Nice taking the subway to pick up his son before New Year’s break.

Xing also showcased upgrades to Mr. Nice’s home, including miniature smart lighting, smart laundry, smart appliances, smart climate control, and even a smart vacuum system. After a brief “cat-parent, cat-teacher, cat-student, and human conference” about the child’s report card, the family rides the subway home and stops at the supermarket to shop for Lunar New Year supplies.

In the video description, Xing revealed that he has spent two years building Cat Town as a whole, steadily expanding the miniature world with detailed infrastructure and functional elements.
