Legendary YouTuber James Rolfe, better known as The Angry Video Game Nerd has become the latest influencer to release his own food, and as no surprise, his is a hot sauce.
The Angry Video Game Nerd has been an internet icon since the 2000s. Rolfe was one of the first creators to start reviewing vintage games and producing episodic content where he furiously plays through some of the hardest and poorly-designed games ever made.
His channel and company, Cinemassacre, has existed even before YouTube, but have been on the platform since 2006. The foul-mouthed creator has uploaded over 150 AVGN episodes reviewing retro games, released his own movie in 2014, and even launched games featuring his YouTube persona.
Now, Rolfe has unveiled his own batch of hot sauces, paying homage to Cinemassacre, AVGN and they’re available for pre-order right now.
AVGN reveals his own trilogy of hot sauces that will make you feel pain
On November 14, The Nerd revealed he has a batch of three hot sauces expected to be released in December 2025.
The first, dubbed ‘Angry Video Game Sauce’ is the least hot of the three, but is described as being “smooth, spicy, and slightly bitter.”
Second is the ‘Monster Madness Sauce’, which pays tribute to his yearly October ritual of uploading Halloween content, normally reviews of classic horror movies.
Finally, there’s the ‘Dumpin’ Buffalo Sauce’ which the site rates as being a 26/10 on the heat scale. “Hotter than AVGN’s toilet after a marathon of bad games. This unholy blend lights up your insides and delivers drops of diarrhea destruction,” the description reads.
“Whether you’re gifting it to a fellow gamer, a hot sauce masochist, or your worst enemy, this box delivers pain and flavor in every drop.”
Each sauce is priced individually at $14.99, or you can pre-order the trilogy pack for $39.99.
Rolfe joins many other creators to release their own food items including Logan Paul’s Prime Hydration, and Pokimane’s cookies. Even metal band Slayer unveiled their own hot sauce in 2024 in the form of ‘Raining Blood.’
