YouTuber WhistlinDiesel, whose real name is Cody Detwiler, was taken into custody on Nov. 12 after law enforcement executed an arrest for tax evasion at his property, according to images he posted on Instagram.

Detwiler, 27, was booked in Williamson County, Tennessee, and was later released on bond the same afternoon.

WhistlinDiesel shared multiple photos and security-camera stills showing officers taking him into custody. His post included the caption, “Won so big they thought I was cheating. (100 percent real, not AI).”

Booking records list a single tax evasion charge

According to the custody information shown in his screenshots, Detwiler was charged with tax evasion, with a listed bond of $2 million. The record states he was booked at 12:30 p.m. CST on Nov. 12 and released at 3:24 p.m. the same day after posting bond.

The images and videos he posted show several officers arriving in multiple vehicles, approaching his property, and escorting him in handcuffs. Additional screenshots include his custody profile, which indicates his status is now “Out of Custody.”

This isn’t the first time Detwiler has faced jail time, either. Back in 2022, he went to court after he and his crew were stopped by police for splashing water with his jet ski.
