xQc has called out Pokimane over the state of livestreaming, after Pokimane said she missed when streaming focused on gaming rather than drama.
Pokimane posted on X that she “miss[es] when streaming was about gaming, not just drama baiting and clip farming,” sparking immediate discussion among creators.
xQc responded and disputed the idea that drama culture came from his side of the platform – and that rather it was Pokimane’s actions in 2022 that sparked a change.
xQc says Pokimane “farmed” him for drama
He wrote that he was “doing GTA RP by day, slots by night” in his own section of streaming until “everyone (her) farmed me and Trainwreck for drama and clicks.” He told Pokimane to “miss me with that energy. Walk the walk.”
The topic resurfaced old tensions around gambling content on Twitch. In 2022 the platform introduced rules that prohibited livestreaming from certain gambling sites, including Stake, Rollbit, Duelbits, and Roobet.
The decision followed months of controversy around slot streams and influencer partnerships, which placed creators like xQc and Trainwreck at the center of the debate, with Pokimane frequently calling them out.
xQc referenced that change in a follow-up post. He said, “the most prominent streaming Circle completely dissolved, relationships broken” after the gambling era and argued that the fallout played a role in the launch of Kick. He said the platform created more competition but “divided us even more.”
“Want streaming to be more about games? Play games.”
Pokimane has not issued any further response on X at the time of writing.
