Minecraft may be all about building houses, surviving against the tricky mobs, and just letting your creativity run wild, but it does have an end, and a pretty lively speedrunning community at that. Well, that speedrunning community has just hit a new record thanks to xQc.
Anyone familiar with Minecraft speedruns has heard of the ongoing battle between Forsen and xQc in a bid to complete the game faster than the other. Since 2020, the two have been vying for the fastest time, bringing it down from just one hour all the way to an impressive 15 minutes, won by Forsen back in 2023.
Well, after just under three years, Forsen is no longer the fastest speedrunner in Minecraft after xQc managed to complete the game in 14 minutes and 27 seconds, shaving off just over a minute from Forsen’s time.
xQc beats Forsen in Minecraft speedrun challenge
In a recent Twitch stream, xQc showcased his latest Minecraft speedrun, aiming to beat Forsen’s time after hitting multiple personal bests across the last year without managing to shave off the minute he needed.
Well, five hours later, he did just that, beating Minecraft in just 14:27, smashing Forsens previous record of 15:28. Naturally, he celebrated exclaiming, “I’m the goat, it’s insane, I’m so f***ing good at this game” and explaining to his chat that his “whole body went numb” while battling the enderdragon at the end.
Shortly after, xQc took to X to call Forsen out, writing: “It’s over for you, old man. Just retire already, you are not beating this. Back to the freezer 14:27.”
At the time of writing, Forsen hasn’t responded to the new record, but if the last six years say anything, he’ll likely be back and attempting to beat the record once more.
