Lisa Catalano, the woman who bought ‘Marry Me’ billboards in San Francisco, has finally gotten a date after thousands of men applied to get with her.
There are plenty of ways for single people to try and find a date these days. There is an abundance of apps to swipe through, Facebook Dating is a thing, and there are tonnes of speed dating nights too.
However, back in September of 2025, Lisa Catalano decided to bypass all of those and splash out in a big way as she bid to find a partner. The 42-year-old rented billboards on a 50-mile stretch of road on Highway 101 between Santa Clara and South San Francisco, directing men to MarryLisa.Com. She also had adverts playing on taxi in San Francisco too.
Budding partners were able to swipe through the website, seeing Lisa’s wants, her non-negotiables in a partner, and some jokey reviews from friends.
The MarryLisa website is full of details for applicants to know.

In the end, Catalano had 4000 applicants off the back of the viral billboards, telling the California Post that she whittled them down to a final 50, before shortening the list even further to a final 20, and a last five.
She has dated a few men off the back of the billboards, including a few towards the back end of 2025.
However, her current partner is actually someone she met away from that. As the California Post, they’ve been seeing each other for about a month, and got together to celebrate Valentine’s Day too.
Catalano also told KRON 4 News that her current partner “did see a billboard at one point.”
The 42-year-old also revealed that the taxi adverts stopped in January, but she had a special Valentine’s Day ad on 14 billboards.
“A lot of people filled it out as a joke, or they didn’t meet basic compatibility requirements, or said they didn’t want to get married, which are deal breakers for me,” Catalano noted.
“I started it as a joke out of frustration, and it just kind of snowballed from there.”
She is still updating fans over on TikTok too and will reveal the cost of everything once she finally gets engaged. “People will be shocked by how much I’ve spent,” Lisa added.
