The husband of the woman caught cuddling with the Astronomer CEO during a Coldplay concert back in July has spoken out about the viral situation.
Shortly after the clip went viral, Andy Byron, the former Astronomer CEO, and Kriston Cabot stepped down the from the company after it launched an internal investigation into the affair.
Weeks after she was spotted with Byron, Kriston Cabot and her husband filed for divorce, leaving people convinced the viral clip lead to the end of their marraige.
However, her husband has spoken out about the incident and revealed they were already split up.
Andrew Cabot issues statement
A spokeswoman for Andrew told PEOPLE that he and Kristin “were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert.”
“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” she added. “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued. No further public comment will be made.”
Byron isn’t the only CEO to go viral across social media over the last few months, either. On September 1, a Polish CEO apologized after he was filmed snatching a signed hat from a child at the US Open.
