YouTuber Vitaly is back online after spending nearly 300 days in a scorching hot jail that he says was infested with rats and cockroaches.
Vitaly Zdorovetskiy was deported to Russia from The Phillipines after spending months behind bars for a series of controversial broadcasts.
The content creator was originally taken into custody in 2025 following a string of livestreams that captured him antagonizing residents, stealing, making unwanted advances toward a security guard, and allegedly attempting to grab a weapon.
After his arrest, the streamer was detained in what YouTube lawyer Legal Mindset described as “jail hell.”
Well, it turns out that description wasn’t far off the mark as Vitaly himself explained the situation now that he’s free and able to go back on the internet.
Vitaly reveals hell-like conditions in burning hot jail
In a post on X, the streamer explained that The Phillipines tried to “break him” but he stood tall, enduring almost 100 days in isolation, which can be an extremely mentally taxing experience.
“After 290 days in the Phillipines jail with rats, cockroaches, and +35 Celsius weather, I am finally free,” he said.
35 degrees Celsius translates to a whopping 95 degrees Fahrenheit, which is similar to what Legal Mindset reported originally.
“They really tried to break me but it built me. Out of the 290 days, I spent 91 days in complete isolation,” he added. “They wanted me gone but I’m here, all glory to GOD.”
Viraly shared numerous photos and videos of his experience including one of the creator behind bars staring into a rain storm happening outside.
In another, the streamer sits on the floor in a crowded jail cell, tentatively listening to someone during what appears to be a religious meeting.
Despite being banned on Kick for his streams, the official Kick account replied to Vitaly’s return, welcoming him back.
It’s unclear if Vitaly plans to return to content or what the next stage of his career will be, but his conditions should come as a warning to any streamer who breaks the law in a foreign country.
“Let this be a reminder to all our visitors here in the Philippines that we always welcome tourists and visitors,” Secretary Jonvic Remulla said regarding Vitaly’s reportation. “We treat them with respect and we expect them to follow the same rules as we do when we travel.”
Despite the controversy, the country says it has no further issues with the streamer.
“We have no ill feelings against Vitaly. He has served his time, shown remorse.”
