SAO, the viral Japanese salarywoman, will make her international debut at LA Comic Con later this month following the release of her new music video.

The actress, model, and office worker, Saori Araki, went viral in July after posting a casual “good morning” selfie from her office job. The post exploded on X, drawing over 70 million views and launching her into the spotlight.

Fans were instantly struck by her appearance and online persona, with many even comparing her to Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney. She later released her first music video titled “OHAYO” on YouTube on August 28, which quickly passed 2.7 million views in just a week.

Well, SAO is now riding her viral success all the way to the US, where she’ll be making her first international appearance at LA Comic Con.

According to SAO’s official announcement on X, she’ll be hosting a Meet & Greet at the Otaku Collectives Booth at 12:00 PM on September 28, before stepping onto the Gaming Stage at 3:00 PM to perform “OHAYO” live for fans.

“First Performance in LA! My first solo live in life in Los Angeles! Please come see it,” reads the post.

SAO’s appearance marks the next step in a whirlwind journey – from an everyday office worker who went viral with a simple selfie, to a creator whose music and live shows are now being watched by fans around the world.

This year’s LA Comic Con will also feature appearances from major stars, including Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, David Tennant, Billie Piper, Elizabeth Olsen, and Paul Bettany.

Alongside cosplay contests, Artist Alley, and exclusive screenings, the three-day event is set to be one of the biggest pop-culture gatherings of 2025.
