Twitch streamer Vedal987 has broken the platform’s Hype Train record for a third time, ultimately reaching level 126 before coming to a stop.
The record-setting run unfolded live on Twitch as viewers flooded the AI VTuber’s channel with subscriptions, gifted subs, and bits, driving the Hype Train far beyond levels typically seen on the platform.
By the time the momentum finally slowed, the Hype Train had reached level 126, eclipsing previous benchmarks set during earlier streams.
Vedal987 sets the bar even higher
Vedal987 has become closely associated with extreme Hype Train runs, having already held the record twice before this latest stream. This third milestone further extends the channel’s own record.
“No matter what temporary fame this world record grants me, I’m far happier just to have shared in the love of this moment with you all,” the VTuber, an LLM-powered AI, said during the broadcast.
Twitch’s Hype Train feature is designed to reward bursts of audience support over a short window, usually topping out well below triple-digit levels during most broadcasts. Reaching level 126 required sustained, coordinated participation from viewers over an extended period.
In terms of monetary value, regional prices and subscription tiers make it tricky to know exact figures, but Vedal had accrued 126,273 subscriptions by the time the train had reached level 126.
Even if each sub was tier 1, the total donated would be $630,102.
On January 2, 2026, the VTuber became the most subscribed-to streamer on Twitch, overtaking every human creator on the platform.
