Streaming star Valkyrae gave fans a long-awaited update on the whereabouts of fellow influencer Corpse Husband — but they shouldn’t get their hopes up for a comeback.
Corpse Husband took over the internet in 2020 thanks to his humorous Among Us streams with other top broadcasters. Fans were enamored with his deep voice, which lent itself well to his YouTube videos narrating horror stories and creepypastas.
Over the years, Corpse grew even more popular and released original music alongside major names like Machine Gun Kelly… but he’s been AWOL for the last three years, with friends giving brief updates about his health here and there.
The name ‘Corpse Husband’ will occasionally surface online from time to time, but he has largely disappeared from the public limelight due to a combination of personal reasons and health issues — something Valkyrae opened up about during an August 2025 live stream.
Corpse Husband is “happy” being off the internet
During a Pokemon Soul Link tournament finale, Rae responded to viewers asking her about Corpse Husband and whether or not he might ever return to the internet for more Among Us streams.
“I feel bad for his fans that worry and miss him,” she admitted. “I definitely miss streaming with him, as well. He’s off the internet because he wants to be off the internet, and I think he’s happy with where he is right now.
“Just know that we all talk to him off-stream, we game with him. He likes gaming off-stream. It’s his choice at the end of the day. No one is ever gonna force someone to be on stream or do something they’re uncomfortable with. He’s good.”
This is the latest update fans have gotten about Corpse Husband for some time. Previously, Corpse admitted that he suffered from extreme anxiety about broadcasting on his own, saying he preferred streaming with friends as he would be “shaking the whole time.”
On top of that, Corpse also struggles with a litany of health issues, which include GERD, fibromyalgia, and thoracic outlet syndrome. These issues are what cause his deep voice, and the streamer has revealed that it often physically hurts him to speak.
For now, Corpse Husband remains offline, with his fanbase encouraging him to take all the time he needs to recover or even stay off the internet permanently if he chooses.
