Jeweller TraxNYC, also known as Maksud Agadjani, has hit out at his “greedy” rivals Akay Diamonds following their viral confrontation at the start of January.
On January 1, TraxNYC, a jeweller in New York City’s Diamond District, confronted George and Freddy Akay of Akay Diamonds over selling a $22,000 diamond bracelet to a customer. The Akay brothers, allegedly, told the customer that it was a piece from TraxNYC.
Agadjani screamed at Akay to repay him after he refunded the customer, and ultimately had to be restrained by other vendors. The jewellers eventually came to blows, with TraxNYC being choked by his rival.
The Akay brothers were eventually charged with assault over the incident, with the New York Police Department arresting the pair after it, while Agadjani was treated for his injuries.

The situation has since blown up on social media, with TraxNYC telling his more than 3 million followers on Instagram that they’d tried to kill him.
He also told NYPost that he’d given the brothers “repeated warnings” for trying to use his name to sell their products.
“These were a family of f**king losers that were jealous that I was a successful jeweler and would constantly try to steal my clients by saying they were me,” he said, claiming the brothers threw a scale at him.
“I decided to expose them for the frauds they are, and they wanted to kill me for it. They could have resolved it by just giving me back my f**king money that I gave back to the customer. They [would] rather destroy their entire jewelry business and career because they are f**king greedy animals.”
As per the NYPost’s report, Agadjani was treated for his injuries at Bellevue Hospital, and he is planning to sue the Akay brothers.
“If they never came, I would have been strangled to death,” he also said of the Diamond District’s security for breaking up the attack.
