NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – As Special Olympics New Mexico races into the final heats of summer sports, one restaurant is helping raise funds. Texas Roadhouse teamed up with the New Mexico Probation Department and Bernalillo County Fire Rescue to raise money for their Tip-A-Cop event.

The probation department and fire rescue workers helped serve guests, where they were able to collect donations. “Everybody in involved is getting out and talking to people, getting to meet a bunch of new people, and hear stories. It’s all been wonderful,” said Mark Hunt, Services Manager, Texas Roadhouse.

The fundraiser was part of a state-wide effort with seven Texas Roadhouse locations also participating.
