A woman who went viral for dishing on her long-distance relationship with a man from Ireland has gone viral again, revealing that she was alerted to him cheating on her just hours before she was flying to see him.
At the back end of 2025, actress Theresa Rowley revealed that she’d had an Irishman – Sean Rooney – slide into her DM’s. While she ignored him for a bit, the pair eventually got to messaging, hitting it off to the point that Rowley went and visited Rooney over in Ireland.
Rowley, who is based in Texas, subsequently made other videos, documenting updates about their long-distance relationship. Some of these TikToks have racked up millions of views, with many viewers celebrating their love story.
However, the pair, who have been featured in the Washington Post, the Irish Independent, and on CBS News, have now broken up after Rowley was alerted to his cheating on her.

On January 20, the actress posted an update on their relationship for the first time in a few weeks, revealing that she’d received a message from another woman about her and Sean messaging.
“Oopsie, he was cheating on me,” Rowley said before breaking into an Irish jig and flipping the camera off.
The American offered a further update on January 21, revealing some more details about what had gone on.
“To find the love of your life is a beautiful thing, to find the love of your life sexting other women, that can be a beautiful thing too,” she said, noting that she’d received a message from another of the women that Sean had been messaging.
“Do I want to tell you how I was less than 12 hours away from getting on a plane to visit my boyfriend in Ireland for Christmas when I received a ‘hey girlie’ message from a women on the internet, complete with about 30 steamy screenshots of conversations between her and my guy detailing everything they wanted to do to each other? Not really.”
Rowley added that the women involved knew that the pair were in a relationship, but still offered “her prayers” about the situation. She continued to say that she’d received screenshots from another woman that her ex had been messaging too.
Rooney, her ex, has gone dark on TikTok, with the account that Rowley used to tag no longer returning an active account.
He has yet to respond to everything, and it remains to be seen as to whether or not he will.
