TikTokers have been mocking the viral ‘AI babies dance’ that pops up as an advert, and they’re even doing it better than the AI.

AI-generated content has popped up on pretty much every social media platform at this point. It’s hard to scroll on YouTube shorts without seeing something AI-generated, and the same with X and its use of Grok.

Anyone who scrolls on TikTok, though, will be more familiar with the dancing AI babies. It pops up as an advert pretty regularly, offering viewers the chance to spend £2/$2 and turn their video into a babified setting where everyone will start dancing.

It has been the source of much annoyance for TikTok users, with many commenting on the videos, calling them a waste of time. However, it has also become the start of a trend for many dancers.

TikTokers fight back at dancing AI babies trend

That’s right, TikTokers have been taking the AI dance moves and pulling them off for themselves, typically to a better standard, too.

That includes TikToker iammarthadove, who said they were “saving $1.98 by getting my daughter to do the ai dance!!” It went down a storm with viewers, racking up over 1.6 million views and close to 200,000 likes.

“Damn, 99% accuracy,” one viewer commented. “Am I the only one who thought this was ai for a second?” another added.  “Better than the Ai versions,” another chimed in.

Others, including thewilliamsfam_ and Brittney Saunders, have given their takes on the dance. They’ve racked up 6.3 million and 1.7 million views, respectively.

“Algorithm so perfect I don’t even see the AI I just see the videos making fun of it,” one viewer commented on thewilliamsfam_’s upload. “I’ve watched this 1000 times and I still don’t know if this is real or AI,” another said on Saunders’ post.

The trend’s hashtag is still full of people posting videos that they’ve used AI to generate, but the people are fighting back.
