Two TikTokers are going viral as they’re attempting to eat every cuisine in the world, but they’re not leaving New York City to do it.
Food reviews have become one of TikTok’s favorite genres, especially as foodies travel all over the globe to experience brand-new cuisines. It has spawned a brand-new set of influencers, with reviews from the likes of Keith Lee and SamsPOV determining the success of restaurants.
While jetsetting around the world to eat new food might be on some people’s bucket lists, two TikTokers in New York are attempting to eat every cuisine possible, without leaving the city.
The new account, tastebuds_nyc, popped up back in November, but has gone viral as 2026 has gotten underway. So far, they’ve got over 500,000 followers, and have attracted well over 10 million views on their video already.

However, they’re only uploading one video a week, meaning it’s going to take them 195 weeks to complete things. That’s just a shade under four years time, which is some dedication to a plan thats been spawned on a whim.
The best friends have already knocked off 11 countries, including Albania, Armenia, Bhutan, Morocco, Hungary, Indonesia, Paraguay, the Phillipines, Tajikistan, South Korea, and Vietnam. That’s a solid range of cuisine, too.
The Bhutan and Armenia-focused videos have been the most popular so far, with the former getting over 5 million views. That was probably down to the fact that there is only one Bhutanese restaurant in New York and that the two friends interviewed the owner during the video.
After knocking off those two, the tastebuds_nyc garnered plenty of praise from viewers, with some pretty compliments being paid to them.
“Anthony Bourdain would have been so proud of this,” one said. “Do YouTube longer form versions. You guys are killing it,” another suggested. “Deadass, this is one of the best things to happen on this app,” commented another.
