TikTok barber VicBlends revealed that the childhood basketball court he recently rebuilt in his hometown was damaged in a fire less than two months after reopening.
In a Nov. 29, 2025, post on X, VicBlends shared photos of the refurbished court, which featured new paint, custom branding, and fresh lines across the playing surface. “I just rebuilt my childhood basketball court back home. Keep going!” he wrote alongside aerial shots and close-ups of the renovation.
On Friday, January 23, 2026, the creator returned to social media with new images showing flames along the fencing and scorched sections of the court floor.
VicBlends says police didn’t release details due to the suspect’s age
“Well, a 16-year-old girl and her mom decided to go and burn the court down already, hasn’t even been 2 months,” he said. “You’re not hurting me, you’re hurting the kids that don’t have anywhere to go now. Sad to see somebody do this to their own community. We’re bouncing back asap, believe that!”
After a follower asked why the court had been burned, VicBlends said authorities did not provide him with additional information about the incident.
“Because it was done by a minor, the police never released any information to me. No reasoning, no names. Really, no explanation makes a difference, we finna get this back poppin for the kids asap!” he replied.
