Twitch star TheBurntPeanut has threatened to quit ARC Raiders if they don’t get a handle on the cheating and stream sniping situation.

Towards the end of 2025, Embark’s ARC Raiders became a hit with Twitch streamers. The extraction shooter, which is a lot more casual than Escape from Tarkov, quickly summited to the top of Twitch, with everyone looking to get in on it.

As the calendar turned over to 2026, however, the game has run into a few problems with cheating and stream sniping. The likes of Shroud and Nadeshot called for changes from the developers. Embark replied, confirming that anti-cheat changes would be coming.

Since then, however, some streamers have continued to run into problems with hackers and glitchers. That includes TheBurntPeanut, who has shot to stardom off the back of ARC. Yet, he may switch his attention elsewhere.

TheBurntPeanut may quit ARC Raiders

During his January 15 stream, the VTuber of the Year award winner threatened to quit playing ARC Raiders as his go-to game if he’s going to continue to be trolled by cheater and stream snipers.

“Embark, fix this or I’m f*cking out of here. Give us something or I’m actually out of here,” he said, making a “formal” complaint about the issues.

“This is ridiculous. If those guys are not IP-banned from this game then I genuinely don’t think I’m going to play it. I don’t think I’m going to play it.”

As noted, Peanut isnt the only streamer to complain, but he is the most high-profile of anyone who has considered quitting ARC.

Nadeshot stated that the cheating has become “much worse than Call of Duty” and wanted Embark to consider making changes. Though, he did note it’s become “impossible” for developers to keep up with things.

The devs have already pushed a ban wave to catch a number of cheaters, but like Peanut, players want permanent bans rather than suspensions.
