TheBurntPeanut has responded to claims that his community targeted Ironmouse with harassment after she publicly supported him following his Streamer Awards win.

The VTuber addressed the situation on stream after reports surfaced that Ironmouse received threats connected to the controversy.

The reaction comes days after Ironmouse defended him from backlash over his VTuber of the Year victory, which split the community and led to ongoing debate about his place in the category.

“I don’t get it, I don’t get the hate, I don’t understand. People are like ‘he’s not a VTuber’, he literally is a VTuber, that literally is the definition of a VTuber bro,” Ironmouse said, calling some of the hate “cringe” from other VTubers.

In a livestream clip, Peanut was asked how he felt about his fanbase being described as “disgusting” toward Ironmouse. He rejected the claims and said the harassment did not come from his supporters.

“It is not my community,” he said. Peanut acknowledged some viewers may have made minor comments, but said he had been made aware of much more severe messages. “I’ve heard she’s been getting death threats. I’ve heard people have been saying disgusting things.”

Peanut argued that the source of the harassment came from groups upset that Ironmouse congratulated him for winning VTuber of the Year. “Take a quick guess which community that is,” he said during the stream.

“It’s the community that can’t handle that she congratulated us for winning,” he said. “May I repeat, may I repeat, the 40-year-old men cosplaying as 15-year-old anime girls.”

He placed blame on those he described as being unable to accept her support. “That’s who’s doing that. The ones that can’t handle that she congratulated us for winning,” he said.
