TheBurntPeanut has fired back at claims that he has used viewbots to gain success on Twitch, even jokingly calling himself an “industry plant” too.
Viewbotting has long been a hot topic in the streaming community. It typically started off with trolls hitting streamers with fake viewers in a bid to get them banned, but they’ve also been used purposefully by creators in order to give themselves a better standing.
Twitch has been clamping down on view bots over the last year or so, rolling out better detection tools to figure out who has real viewers and who doesn’t.
With his success over the last few months, seeing him topple the likes of Caedrel, Asmongold, Hasanabi, and Caseoh as the most-watched streamer, he has been accused of viewbotting on Twitch.
“There’s no way he randomly comes out of nowhere, gets popular in the normie space, peaks at 100k+ viewers, yet his chat is more stale and dead than someone with >
this dude is a view botter.

TheBurntPeanut hits back at viewbotting claims
“Guys, I call viewbotting the losers topic, that’s what I call it. You have too many viewers and not enough likes? You’re viewbotting. You have too many viewers and too many likes? You’re likebotting. You have too many viewers, you don’t have enough subscribers? You’re viewbotting,” TheBurntPeanut said during his February 5 stream.
“You can spin it anyway you can. At the base of it, it’s cope. There’s no way to prove anyone is viewbotting or if they’re not. This is a real loser topic. Of course, your post is going to blow up, it’s a bunch of other losers coping at the same time, all together.
“Is there anything lower? I hate to be unhumble. We switched to Brazilian servers, European servers, we switched to a server called Oceanic – I don’t even know what the f*ck that means – I can’t find a single f*cker on any console on this planet who doesn’t know who we are! And you’re saying I’m viewbotting?!”
The VTuber of the Year award winner also responded directly to the viral post, jokingly correcting them to call him an “industry plant” rather than a viewbotter.
Peanut’s success has come off the back of ARC Raiders dominating, as he’s been involved with a number of viral and entertaining moments alongside some OGs on Twitch. So, it’s not a surprise that he’s flying high.
