TheBurntPeanut is keeping his momentum rolling in 2026 after being crowned VTuber of the year by topping Twitch’s charts by a wide margin.
VTubers have emerged as some of the most dominant content creators on any platform, but TheBurntPeanut has taken things to another level. His crude level of animation using a Snapchat-style face filter turns his head into a giant peanut, leaving only his real eyes and mouth visible in stretched, cartoonish proportions.
Thanks to his chaotic gameplay of ARC Raiders and Escape from Tarkov, he’s grown to 1.8 million followers at the time of writing, and now, he’s become the new king of Twitch.
According to new stats from StreamsCharts, TheBurntPeanut was by far the most-watched streamer in January 2026, besting the likes of Asmongold, Hasan and Caedrel in the process.
TheBurntPeanut dominates Twitch as VTuber continues his rise
StreamsCharts reports that TheBurntPeanut saw a 29% rise from December 2025 with a whopping 11.3 million hours watched and just over 196 hours of total airtime.
His ARC Raiders streams continued to bring in the views, despite his broadcasts getting dire with the VTuber threatening to quit the game if the developers couldn’t get a handle on the cheating and stream sniping situation.
Peanut’s success was followed by Asmongold, who pulled in 8.40M hours watched. Fellow political streamer Hasan also had big numbers with 6.82M, although he was hit with a brief Twitch ban late in the month.
StreamsChartsElsewhere, Caedrel’s LoL esports coverage helped him achieve 7.14M hours watched by streaming LEC and LCK matches.
The rest of the top 5 were rounded out by GamesDoneQuick, Jynxzi, StableRonaldo, xQc, Caseoh and Japanese streamer Junichi.
2026 is still in its infancy, but we’ll have to see if Peanut can keep this momentum up going or if other creators can crack him.
