Taco Bell is bringing back one of its most requested menu items, confirming the Quesarito will return nationwide for a limited time starting December 18.

The comeback follows years of fan demand and revives a product that became part of internet lore after a 2014 Taco Bell commercial aired during Nikola Jokic’s NBA Draft announcement, briefly overshadowing the future MVP’s moment on live television.

Originally launched as a mashup of a burrito and a quesadilla, the Quesarito features seasoned beef, seasoned rice, chipotle sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, and Nacho Cheese sauce, all wrapped inside a grilled quesadilla filled with melted cheeses.

After its removal from menus, the item continued to gain attention through petitions, social media campaigns, and repeated calls for its return. Taco Bell has confirmed that the Quesarito will be available nationwide for a limited time, starting Thursday, December 18.

The brand is also offering a limited promotion through its loyalty program. The first 30,000 Taco Bell Rewards members can purchase a $1 Quesarito during a Tuesday Drop on December 23 at 2 p.m. PT, exclusively through the Taco Bell app.

The Quesarito’s return also revives a long-running sports crossover moment dating back to the 2014 NBA Draft. During Jokic’s selection, a Taco Bell Quesarito commercial aired simultaneously, leading fans to label it one of the most unexpected draft moments ever.

The clip has continued to circulate online throughout Jokic’s rise to becoming a three-time NBA MVP with the Denver Nuggets. With the Quesarito’s return, Taco Bell acknowledged the moment and invited Jokic to try the menu item for the first time.

When asked whether he would try the Quesarito, Jokic responded, “No. It’s nice they’re finally apologizing. But no.”

This comes just weeks after Taco Bell launched the Fan Style menu that features several new items made by customers.
