No one likes being stuck in the middle during a fight. It’s cramped, you’re between two strangers, and there’s probably a kid kicking the back of your seat. Luckily, Subway feels your pain.
To make it up to passengers who have to deal with the middle seat conundrum, Subway is giving away free footlong subs.
The only catch? You have to be flying on January 27 and be sitting in the middle seat.
“Getting sandwiched in a middle seat no matter how early you check in is not something many travelers will love,” Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer, Subway North America said. “So, on Tuesday, we’re going to turn a bad ‘sandwich’ into a great sandwich by reassigning 737 middle-seaters a $20 Subway gift card.”
How to get free Subway subs as a middle seat passenger
In order to get the $20 Subway gift card, you’re going to need to be flying somewhere in the US on January 27 and have a phone handy.
From there, head on over to the Subway Middle Seat website and submit proof of your middle-seat assignment in the form of a selfie.
The good news is that it doesn’t matter what airline you’re flying on or the row or cabin class, as long as you’re sandwiched in the middle, you’re good.
Subway says it’s going to be reviewing each photo’s metadata to ensure it was taken on January 27, so any old photos you have saved won’t cut it.
You just gotta be fast. Subway is only giving out 737 of these gift cards.
Subway isn’t the first chain to offer food to airline passengers. For those flying first class on Delta and traveling 900 miles or more, you can get your hands on Shake Shack.
