Spotify has teamed up with TikTok to launch a new co-branded hub dedicated to BookTok’s most popular reads, giving US users a new way to discover and listen to trending titles.

The Big on BookTok hub, available through November, turns TikTok book recommendations into curated audiobook playlists. Updated every two weeks with data from the short-form video app, the hub highlights the titles driving conversations in the #BookTok community.

At launch, the collection features well-known books such as A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera, Becoming by Michelle Obama, and Beloved by Toni Morrison.

Spotify has also included playlists built around trends like “audiobooks I would sell my soul to listen to again” and “audiobooks that got me back into reading.”

Curated shelves and author playlists

Alongside the trending selections, Spotify editors have created themed shelves like “BookTok’s current obsessions,” “Hottest authors,” and “The OGs of BookTok.” Author playlists are also part of the hub, spanning from contemporary names like Emily Henry to classics like Jane Austen.

The collaboration builds on BookTok’s role in shaping global reading trends and aims to connect audiences with audiobooks in the same way TikTok has boosted physical book sales.

This new feature comes just weeks after Spotify revealed that it’s adding the ability to share songs through DMs and a new DJ feature to customize song transitions.
