SpongeBob SquarePants’ Kelpo cereal is finally real, and fans are already spotting boxes on Walmart shelves.

After years of seeing the yellow box in SpongeBob SquarePants, the cartoon’s in-universe cereal has been turned into an official tie-in for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. The product listing describes it as golden crispy corn puffs and labels it a limited release.

A Walmart listing confirms the launch and describes the product as being inspired by SpongeBob’s favorite cereal from the show. Nickelodeon fan sites also surfaced promotional copy noting a partnership between Kellogg’s and Paramount to bring Kelpo to stores in time for the movie.

It looks like they pulled it straight from the movie

The real-world Kelpo box mirrors the cartoon look, complete with the bug-eyed seaweed mascot. The back panel recreates the animated packaging from the series, matching the cereal’s long-running appearances across dozens of episodes.

According to the Walmart listing, the cereal is available for a limited time and positioned as a promotional tie-in for the new movie, Search for SquarePants.

Kelpo has appeared in more than 20 SpongeBob episodes over the past two decades, making it one of the show’s most recognizable fictional foods.

Now, for the first time, the cereal has an official rollout that matches the cartoon version closely, giving fans a real box to put on their shelves or pour into a bowl.
