UFC legend Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson admitted that his son, Raja Jackson, went “too far” with his attack on Syko Stu now that the wrestler has been discharged from hospital.
On August 23, Raja Jackson attended an independent wrestling show at KnokX Pro in California. The son of Rampage Jackson was there taking part in a planned stunt with wrestler Syko Stu, real name Stewart Smith, who hit Raja with a drink. However, Jackson went off script and attacked Smith.
The altercation left Smith in the hospital with some “very serious” injuries. A GoFundMe has been set up to aid his recovery, raising over $200,000 for Smith, who has since been released from hospital.
Smith has revealed that he will be “permanently scarred” due to the attack, and is missing several teeth.
Rampage Jackson says Raja went “too far” in deleted tweet
Rampage Jackson has already asked for Smith’s “forgiveness” over his son’s behavior and admitted he “felt bad” about what had happened.
Now, the UFC legend has admitted that Raja went “too far” with it. Not trying to justify anything, just trying to fight some misinformation. Raja was told exactly when he could get into the ring,” he said in a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter).
“He didn’t sneak up on Syko Stu. It was staged but Raja took it too far.”
Jackson has defended his son multiple times, but accepts that there might be consequences for his actions. “I’m gonna let justice play out,” he said after it happened. “I don’t condone what my son did at all. If I was there, things would have went different, but I wasn’t there.”
Douglas Malo, the wrestler who intervened during the attack, is unsure if Smith will press charges against Raja. However, he believes it was “attempted murder” by Jackson.
Another wrestler, AJ Mana, claims he’s been fired from KnokX Pro Wrestling for being an “accessory to attempted murder” after encouraging Raja.
