Streamer Quvonn ‘RaKai’ Linder has revealed he was banned on Twitch for trying to trick a woman into walking out of Walmart with stolen flowers, but says there’s more to the story.

RaKai, one of 2025’s fastest-growing creators, is only 17, yet already pulls massive numbers. He has over 1.8 million followers and streams to thousands on a regular basis.

In December, he was hit with a Twitch ban for “illegal activities” following an incident at a Walmart where he gave a woman flowers, claimed he’d already bought them, and appeared to pressure her into leaving the store without paying for them.

After giving her the flowers, RaKai ran away, smirking. This incident, according to the streamer, is what resulted in the ban, but during a recent broadcast on YouTube, he explained that he wasn’t actually being as mischievous as he seemed.

RaKai claims his assistant prevented Walmart shopper from stealing flowers

According to RaKai, while he confessed to not paying for the flowers, he made sure she didn’t leave the store with the stolen items.

“I’m so cute, I’m so petite, I’m so good looking, I’m so nice, I’m so smart… I told my assistant, I said, ‘Yo, tell her I didn’t buy them and put them back.’ But I didn’t show it on stream!” he claimed.

Linder added that, while he understands why Twitch handed him a ban, he was adamant that he didn’t deserve to be suspended for a full two years.

Originally, the streamer was under the impression that his ban would last until 2027, but it turns out that isn’t the case.

After Dexerto posted the update on X, Twitch stepped in to clear things up. The two-year message wasn’t real. It was a “visual bug,” not the actual length of the suspension.

“Our teams are working to fix this issue, but we know from our investigation that other creators aren’t experiencing this error,” Twitch said.

They added that the glitch didn’t affect RaKai’s official notice. The email he received listed the correct suspension period, and Twitch says they’ve already clarified it with him directly.

This latest punishment is his sixth Twitch suspension. In June, the 17-year-old was banned after streaming himself driving while repeatedly looking down at his phone.

RaKai’s ban comes days after Nina Lin was also banned for stealing after the creator stole steaks and shoes from Target and bragged about it afterwards.
