Fitness influencer Matt ‘MattDoesFitness’ Morsia got a bit of a surprise when police asked him for a photo while they were arresting someone.
Influencers big and small are no strangers to being stopped by fans and asked for a selfie. They can be out and about in public doing some shopping, eating dinner at a restaurant, or even at their normal day job and people will stop them for a quick snap.
Like celebrities, some influencers have put rules in place, and will ask fans not to disrupt them if they’re out for food. MrBeast said it’s a “death sentence” if fans try and take a selife with him in public, as he’s been kicked out of a Walmart before because of how much disruption it caused staff.
In the case of MattDoesFitness, the influencer had an interesting interaction with the police while on holiday in France, as they wanted to get a selfie with him.
MattDoesFitness stopped by police for photo while arresting someone
The fitness guru, who also takes part in the UK version of Gladiators, posted a video of him being stopped by a police officer who wanted to grab a quick photo with him. The only catch? He was actually arresting someone at the same time.
“POV: you’re mid-arrest but need to get a quick pic with MattDoesFitness,” Morsia said on Instagram, jokingly adding that “crime can wait.”
MattDoesFitness added that it was “so awkward” for the man being arrested, given he had to just stand and watch while the officer grabbed a photo.
“Still can’t believe this actually happened,” his wife, Sarah Morsia, commented.
Others suggested that it was a skit from Morsia. “That’s not real!” one said. “What did i just witness?!” another added.
Some others pointed out that “someone is getting sacked” for grabbing a photo with the influencer whilst working. Though, who knows if they escape the long arm of the law seeing as they are, well, part of that.
