Pitbull is attempting a Guinness World Records title in the UK this summer, aiming to set the record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps during his headline set in London.

The Miami rapper will stage the attempt on July 10 during his performance at the BST Hyde Park Festival. Fans have increasingly copied his signature look of a shaved head, suit, and aviator sunglasses at shows, with entire sections of arenas turning up in bald caps.

“Guinness Book of World Records, get ready for all the Bald-E’s that’ll be putting it down on July 10th at Hyde Park. Every time you put on that bald cap, you know you’re about to have the time of your lives. We appreciate the love, the commitment, and the support. More than anything, we just want to say thank you. Dale!” The rapper announced.

Where did the bald cap thing come from?

The idea reportedly began after BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James suggested via text that the rapper try to break the world record for the most people wearing a bald cap in one location. Pitbull later indicated a member of his team would follow up.

The fan trend has grown in recent years. Speaking to The Associated Press after a London show in June 2025, Pitbull said he first noticed a small number of lookalikes at concerts in 2021 before it escalated overseas.

“Maybe out of 20,000-30,000 people coming to the show, you’ll see a thousand,” he said.

“We jumped the pond and we ended up in London and it was just something else. It was definitely a whole new movement, took it to a whole new level.”

The official world record attempt will take place during his Friday night headline slot on July 10 at BST Hyde Park in London.
