Fans at Citizens Bank Park were left stunned after a woman took a foul ball away from a young fan, sparking outrage online in the wake of another recent viral sports controversy.

Just last week, a viral clip of a CEO stealing a giveaway cap from a child at a sporting event made headlines, drawing widespread criticism across social media. That incident left many sports fans furious at how adults were putting themselves before kids in the stands.

This time, the spotlight was on the Phillies vs. Marlins game. When a foul ball flew into the crowd, a dad rushed to grab it and proudly handed it over to his son, only for the moment to be cut short when he was confronted by another fan.

The unidentified woman online, rushed up to the dad and began pointing her finger, insisting: “That was ours. You took it from me. That was in my hands.” Before things escalated further, the dad reluctantly took the ball back from his son’s glove and handed it over.

But the story didn’t end there. Later in the game, a woman from the Marlins organization approached the boy, told him what happened was “not okay,” and gifted him a bag full of Marlins gear. The night got even better when Phillies center fielder Harrison Bader met with the young fan and gave him a signed ball, ensuring the game ended on a high note despite the foul play in the stands.
