Nvidia reported another record quarter as AI demand continued to surge, with the company saying it has now shifted from a gaming-focused GPU maker to an AI data center giant.

The company posted $57 billion in revenue for Q3 2026. Nvidia, now the most valuable public company in the world, said this was up 62 percent year over year and represented a sequential increase of $10 billion.

Once best known for producing gaming GPUs like the GTX and RTX series cards, gaming is now just a small part of their total revenue.

NVIDIA has evolved from gaming

In its earnings call, the company said it has “evolved over the past twenty-five years from a gaming GPU company to now an AI data center infrastructure company.”

Data center revenue hit a record $51 billion for the quarter. Nvidia reported a 66 percent increase from last year, driven by strong demand for AI infrastructure across cloud providers, enterprises, and model developers. The company said it continues to ship high volumes of its Blackwell and Rubin platforms.

Gaming revenue reached $4.3 billion, up 30 percent year over year. Nvidia said the increase was tied to heightened gamer demand for new GPUs and continued growth in PC gaming.

During the call, Nvidia also highlighted growing long-term demand for its next-generation platforms. “Currently, we have visibility to a half a trillion dollars in Blackwell and Rubin revenue from the start of this year through the end of calendar year 2026.”

Nvidia noted that its data center business now accounts for the clear majority of its revenue and expects AI infrastructure build-outs to continue for multiple years. The company said its pipeline for cloud, enterprise, and sovereign AI projects remains strong heading into 2027.

The company’s share price rose sharply following the earnings announcements, calming fears of an AI bubble in stock prices.
