PepsiCo is introducing a new line of Doritos and Cheetos that keeps the classic taste but removes the one thing fans either love or hate: the finger stains.

The new Simply NKD lineup features colorless versions of Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, Cheetos Puffs, and Flamin’ Hot that no longer leave residue on your hands.

The launch arrives as PepsiCo rolls out a new option alongside the iconic originals, removing all artificial flavors and dyes to create a chip that still delivers the same flavor intensity without the added color.

PepsiCo says NKD strips the snacks down without changing the taste

According to Rachel Ferdinando, CEO of PepsiCo Foods U.S., the NKD line was designed to meet consumer demand for more options while keeping the existing recipes untouched, and the new products prove that Doritos and Cheetos can maintain their signature flavor profile without relying on added color.

The company says NKD was developed in just eight weeks, with R&D teams building colorless versions of the chips that still offer the same crunch and seasoning fans expect.

PepsiCo confirmed the first wave of Simply NKD products includes:

• Doritos Simply NKD Nacho Cheese
• Doritos Simply NKD Cool Ranch
• Cheetos Simply NKD Puffs
• Cheetos Simply NKD Flamin’ Hot

PepsiCo isn’t the first brand to make massive changes to its chips in 2025, either. Back in October, Lay’s revealed a new logo design, a switch to olive oil in the manufacturing process, and the removal of artificial dyes.
