Beast Games Season 2 lands on Prime Video in less than a month, but only now has MrBeast himself revealed that the show’s latest chapter is crossing over with Survivor – and how the “surreal” collaboration reshaped the entire competition.
Although Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is best known for his viral YouTube stunts and giveaways, Beast Games has quickly grown into one of his most ambitious projects. What originally began as a Squid Game-inspired YouTube mega-event evolved into a full Prime Video reality series in 2024.
Season 1 broke a whopping 44 records, including its $5 million cash prize being the biggest ever awarded for an unscripted reality TV show (even more than Squid Game: The Challenge).
The second chapter is set to change things up with its Strong vs. Smart theme, with 100 competitors per side. But that’s far from the only change this season thanks to a huge crossover with reality classic, Survivor.
MrBeast talks “surreal” Survivor crossover with Beast Games Season 2
In the first of its kind, Beast Games Season 2 will be a hybrid of the show’s classic format and challenges alongside Survivor’s format, with host Jeff Probst even making an appearance.
Dexerto attended an advance special screening of Season 2, where MrBeast elaborated on the collaboration. When asked about the biggest surprise of the latest chapter, he replied, “I mean, the fact that Jeff Probst said yes to whatever that was.”
“The Survivor team was amazing. We filmed on their island. The same crew who builds the sets for Survivor also built the sets for the collab, and we used their camera crew and everything so it really would feel like Survivor.
“Jeff was just awesome. He was super engaged, and that was the same set they used for Tribal. And because of all this, it just felt so natural.”
The YouTuber went on to say that the Beast Games Season 2 production “was literally their [Survivor’s] crew, their camera people, their everything,” and “that’s why it feels a little different than our other episodes.”
“ It was 100%, ‘Show us how you guys do things,’ because I’m pretty sure Survivor has been going since before I was born. I mean, I’m 27, so obviously they know a lot…
“Even things that might be obvious, like how they set up their camera walls, and how Jeff pulls information out of the contestants and the questions he asked.
“As someone who hosts a lot, it was really fun to film with him because the whole time – when I wasn’t in front of a camera – I was just watching how he interacts with contestants or the kind of stuff he asks. It was just honestly a very surreal experience the entire time.”
Beast Games Season 2 premieres on Prime Video on January 7, 2026. Until then, check out all the eliminations from Season 1, MrBeast’s plan for a real life Hunger Games, and find more TV shows coming to streaming this month.
