MrBeast and Mark Rober’s TeamWater has reached their $40,000,000 goal just hours before the August 31, 2025, deadline. The initiative will provide clean water to 2 million people worldwide for decades.
Launched on August 1, TeamWater united creators from 144 countries with a combined reach of more than 2 billion subscribers. Through videos, livestreams, and social content, audiences were encouraged to donate through the charity’s website.
MrBeast paired up with Kick stars xQc and Adin Ross to raise $12M during a single live stream in August, breaking a Guinness World Record in the process.
The campaign concluded while MrBeast was live on YouTube, with the final push coming from an auction offering a spot in a future video. The auction winner contributed $76,000, taking the total past the $40 million mark.
Creators unite for clean water
In a joint statement, Donaldson and Rober said: “Reaching our $40 million goal means that millions of people will experience the life-changing impact of clean water for years to come. Mark and I are blown away by what the creator community has accomplished—we could never have achieved this on our own. So thank you to the thousands of creators who helped make this possible.”
WaterAid, the campaign’s lead global partner, will direct donations to sustainable infrastructure such as solar-powered wells, gravity-fed pipelines, and rainwater harvesting systems. Partner organizations DigDeep, GivePower, and Instituto Alok will assist in implementing projects.
Kelly Parsons, CEO of WaterAid America, said the effort means “millions will soon have access to something most of us take for granted: clean water. That means more children in school instead of walking for water, more families staying healthy, and more women able to build their future.”
This is just the latest philanthropic effort from Donaldson and Rober. Back in 2024, the duo revealed they had finished removing 34M pounds of trash from the ocean following the success of TeamSeas back in 2022.
