YouTube icon MrBeast revealed that he spends big bucks to make sure no one cheats in his famous challenges, from his viral YouTube videos to his Amazon Prime series Beast Games.
Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson is famous for his big-budget YouTube videos, where he challenges groups of participants with over-the-top challenges for massive cash prizes.
From seeing how long players can stand inside an increasingly small circle without leaving (even for bathroom breaks) to tasking them with surviving 30 days trapped 100 feet in the air, MrBeast has become somewhat of a modern trickster god known for his wild contests and equally wild payouts.
It’s no surprise, then, that some viewers are skeptical of how ‘real’ these challenges really are, especially considering how big they’ve gotten over the years… but MrBeast is putting the kibosh on these rumors by putting his money where his mouth is.
MrBeast spent over $1M to ensure fairness in Beast Games
On February 16, 2026, the YouTuber-turned-game show host posted a tweet revealing the measures he takes to preserve the spirit of fair competition in his content.
“Fun fact, I’ve spent over $1,000,000 recently on third-party compliance teams to be on set and verify Beast Games/MrBeast videos aren’t rigged,” he wrote.
He went on to explain that these teams verify each player’s elimination to rule out interference from his team, prevent last-minute rule changes, and ensure fairness throughout the competition.
No reason for sharing,” he added. “I was just looking at expenses and thought it was interesting. We do this so people can trust the outcomes of our competitions!”
MrBeast’s post has garnered praise from fans, with many agreeing that it’s worth eating the cost to hire compliance agencies to create the best product possible and retain viewers’ trust.
“Beast Games Season 2 has been super fair,” one wrote. “I mean, the more I watch, the less I fault anyone who has to screw others to win some money. You could get eliminated by chance even if you turned down a million dollars.”
“I don’t think there’s a person in YouTube history that has spent 1-10th as much as MrBeast spends on his videos,” another said.
MrBeast has been fairly transparent about his finances as YouTube’s most-subscribed content creator, but his pocketbook likely isn’t as stuffed as most might expect.
In fact, he admitted that he has “negative money” in his bank account, explaining that his overall net worth doesn’t reflect how liquid he is in his personal accounts, and even shared that he’s asking his mother to help fund his wedding to fiance Thea Booysen.
