McDonald’s is reportedly bringing back a menu item that hasn’t been seen for the best part of a decade, but it’ll be super limited to one place.
When you go to eat at McDonald’s, you know pretty much what you’re going to see on the menu. However, like many other fast food restaurants, they do cycle in limited-time offers for customers to try out.
We’ve seen this recently with the Grinch Fries, a secret menu in the UK made up of offerings from around the world, as well as caviar with McNuggets on Valentine’s Day, and Canada even got a collab with Frank’s RedHot. The latter went down a treat on social media, too.
Those chicken offerings do vary from country to country, with some not offering the same Chicken Selects that appear in the UK. Now, it appears as if the UK will be getting another leg up over other countries.
Chicken McBites set to return in UK
According to UK food reviewers, including Grumpy Northern Foodie, McDonald’s is supposed to be bringing back the Chicken McBites in March.
“Classic popcorn chicken, trying to tap into that KFC market,” the popular TikToker said about the rumored menu update.
The Chicken McBites were first launched in 2012, but were discontinued in most stores around the world in 2013. They have appeared in limited-time runs in Australia and New Zealand since then, but this would mark the first return to UK in over a decade.
On top of that, the long-awaited McGriddle is also supposed to be available in this menu update. It was leaked to debut in the UK in January, but apparent “supply issues” have delayed that.
Additionally, a new pie, Little Mac, Piri Pir shaker fries, and a McRoyal are supposedly joining the returning Chicken McBites too. Though, we’ll have to wait and see how long it all lasts.
