McDonald’s is introducing a new Special Edition Gold sauce for fans to enjoy alongside new snack wrap and McCrispy Sandwich variations.
Beginning September 3, restaurants nationwide will serve the Special Edition Gold Sauce, a blend of North Carolina-style BBQ with honey, smoke, and mustard notes.
The launch follows a string of recent McDonald’s releases. In July, the chain brought back the Snack Wrap after years of fans requesting its return, and earlier this summer, it introduced new value deals aimed at budget-conscious customers.
Alongside the new sauce, McDonald’s is releasing four new special edition menu items for chicken fans to enjoy.
- Special Edition Gold Snack Wrap: Crispy McCrispy Strips with Gold Sauce, shredded cheese, and shredded lettuce.
- Bacon Special Edition Gold McCrispy Sandwich: Served on a toasted potato roll with Gold Sauce, applewood smoked bacon, and crinkle-cut pickles.
- Bacon Special Edition Gold Deluxe McCrispy Sandwich: Adds shredded lettuce and Roma tomatoes alongside Gold Sauce and bacon.
- McCrispy Strips: Available with Gold Sauce on the side.
When the McCrispy Strips first launched, McDonald’s released a new Chili sauce, which tendie connoisseurs around the US enjoyed.
This release comes just days after the company revealed plans to lower prices on eight of its combo meals, making them cost 15% below what the franchise has to pay for each item.
