McDonald’s UK is adding a new option to its Happy Meal lineup as the Mayo Chicken Happy Meal arrives nationwide on Wednesday, November 19, alongside a full collection of Elf on the Shelf Santaverse toys.

The launch is part of McDonald’s annual holiday push, which has included licensed toy collaborations and seasonal packaging in previous years.

This year’s update introduces the Mayo Chicken as a permanent choice, joining items like the McFish and Veggie Dippers. The rollout also refreshes the fruit and veggie side options with festive Reindeer Treats branding on carrot sticks.

Families will also find an official lineup of 12 plush toys from The Elf on the Shelf Santaverse or an exclusive storybook inside each Happy Meal. The partnership comes through The Lumistella Company, which oversees the global Elf on the Shelf brand.

Santaverse events coming to restaurants

McDonald’s UK restaurants will host character visits, face painting, and themed activity pages throughout the season. The in-store events are available at select locations during school holidays, with schedules offered through McDonald’s online event finder.

The Santaverse collection includes characters from the broader Elf on the Shelf universe, each designed as a soft plush toy for the promotion. The alternative book option features an original story centered on Santaverse characters.

The Mayo Chicken Happy Meal will be available for around £4.19, though pricing varies by restaurant. Happy Meals include a main item, a fruit or vegetable side, and a small drink, with toys or books included while supplies last.

The UK’s Santaverse collab comes as McDonald’s Portugal rolls out Happy Meal toys based on the ever-popular Netflix series, Stranger Things.
