McDonald’s has launched a new global collaboration with Crayola, marking the first time the two brands have partnered on a Happy Meal program across multiple international markets.
Announced on December 26, 2025, the initiative introduces a space-themed Happy Meal experience built around creative play, with co-branded activity kits and toys aimed at children and families.
The limited edition Planet McDonald’s Happy Meal is rolling out at participating McDonald’s locations in more than 60 countries across EMEA, the UK, Asia, and Canada. Availability varies by market and is expected to run through March 2026, while supplies last.

The collaboration features hands-on creative activities designed to encourage imaginative play. As part of the campaign, children can scan their completed creations to unlock a digital experience that animates their designs within a space-themed environment focused on exploration and learning.
The Happy Meal packaging and campaign advertising also showcase illustrations created by children, placing user-generated creativity at the center of the program. The partnership marks the first time Crayola has served as a supplier of colored pencils for McDonald’s, with the brand’s creative intellectual property integrated across marketing and in restaurant materials.
“Crayola’s mission has always been to inspire and empower creative exploration, discovery, and self expression in every child,” said Anna Roca, head of global partnerships at Crayola. “This partnership with McDonald’s brings that mission to life in a bold, unexpected way.”
McDonald’s said the initiative is designed to support parents looking for meaningful play experiences while extending creativity into digital formats.
“This unique partnership with Crayola allows us to deliver personalized, interactive experiences that connect culture and creativity through a space-themed journey that puts kids in control of their own narrative,” said Sheila Hamilton, senior director of global brand marketing at McDonald’s.
