McDonald’s UK has launched a new limited-time collaboration tied to the hit sitcom Friends, rolling out a themed meal, character collectibles, and menu additions across restaurants nationwide starting Tuesday, 3 February.
The promotion is being released in partnership with Warner Bros. and introduces the Friends Meal to UK customers, complete with exclusive figurines, themed packaging, app rewards, and a new dipping sauce inspired by Monica.
The Friends menu lets customers choose between a Big Mac, nine Chicken McNuggets, or a McPlant, served with Fries and a carbonated drink. Meals can be ordered in Medium or Large sizes and come with one of six collectibles featuring Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, or Joey.
Collectibles, sauce,s and new menu additions headline the rollout
For the first time in the UK, McDonald’s is offering six character-themed collectibles, each tied to a recognizable moment from the show. Designs include Ross with his monkey Marcel, Rachel at the coffee counter, Monica cooking, Phoebe with her guitar, and Chandler and Joey alongside their chick and duck.
Alongside the toys, the chain has introduced Monica’s Marinara Sauce for a limited period. The tomato-based dip includes garlic, onion, and herbs and is designed to pair with Chicken McNuggets and Fries.
The promotion also includes Friends-themed packaging across several items, including Chicken Shareboxes and McNuggets Shareboxes featuring Joey and a New York skyline backdrop.
McCafé cups have been updated with Central Perk-inspired designs, while a new Pizza Mozzarella Dippers side item has been added to the menu. The breaded mozzarella pieces are served with a marinara dip and arrive in themed packaging
App users are also able to access additional rewards during the campaign. Customers ordering through the McDonald’s app have a chance to win one of four Friends-inspired mugs for a limited time, with designs referencing the orange sofa, Monica’s door frame, the fountain from the opening credits, and the group’s favourite hangout.
This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has launched a collab with the iconic TV show, either. Back in 2024, McDonald’s Spain released their own version of the “adult happy meal” that came with one of six collectible figures.
