YouTube star Markiplier gave fans a first look at the official popcorn bucket themed after his debut film, Iron Lung, but viewers will have to jump through a few hoops if they want to get it for free.
Iron Lung, Markiplier’s self-financed adaptation of the hit indie horror game of the same name, is set to hit theaters on January 30 after three grueling years in development.
The flick was held off for months as the YouTuber-turned-director sought out an official theatrical release. In late 2025, he secured a few smaller, independent venues throughout the US, which later ballooned into a massive worldwide release with showings in major theater chains across Canada, Australia, the UK, and more.
Like many popular films, Iron Lung is getting its very own custom popcorn bucket that fans can collect to look back fondly on the occasion… but there’s a bit of a twist compared to other movie buckets.
Iron Lung popcorn bucket released in collaboration with Regal
On the evening of January 21, 2026, Markiplier went live on YouTube to play various horror games and chat with his audience.
During the stream, he showed off the 3D file for an Iron Lung popcorn bucket, shaped like the maw of some giant toothy undersea creature engulfing a spew of blood.
The Iron Lung popcorn bucket is freely available to download online and 3D print.
Mark revealed that he’s making the file freely available to everyone starting January 22. If fans print it with a 3D printer and bring it to any Regal theater showing Iron Lung in the US, they’ll be able to get a small popcorn for free.
The file can be downloaded directly through the Regal Prop Shop page on Maker World, which we’ve linked here for readers’ convenience.
Markiplier added that fully painted versions of these popcorn buckets will be available to purchase directly at Regal cinemas, as well. However, those looking to get creative and customize their own bucket will be able to get both the vessel and the popcorn for free.

According to Markiplier, Regal will also be organizing giveaways and pre-sales for fans to get their hands on the officially-painted buckets early.
While Iron Lung is set to show in theaters on January 30, some fans in the UK will get the chance to see it early on the 29th, and there are some showings, such as at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, that are releasing the film on January 27.
Tickets are selling out within minutes, so fans who hope to see Iron Lung on the big screen had better move quickly before it’s too late.
