A man in northern British Columbia, Canada has been arrested for drunk driving after police caught him behind the wheel of a child-sized pink Barbie jeep.
On September 5, photos spread online showing Kasper Lincoln cruising down 15th Avenue in Prince George in the tiny plastic Barbie car. Wearing aviator sunglasses, Lincoln turned heads as he drove the toy vehicle down the street before an unmarked RCMP cruiser pulled him over.
Lincoln told Canada’s state broadcaster he was planning to grab a Slurpee with a friend but “got lazy” and decided to borrow his roommate’s kid’s toy instead. “I never drove it before,” he laughed.
That decision is coming back to haunt him in a big way.

Officers initially stopped Lincoln for a traffic violation but quickly discovered his license was suspended. They also suspected he was impaired, which was later confirmed by two breath tests.
“While it might seem to some to be an inefficient use of police time to pull over a driver in a toy car, the risk the driver was creating to other motorists on the road who were forced to go around him, coupled with the risk to himself as other drivers are not in the habit of looking for toy cars on the busy road, was enough to warrant police attention,” Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.
Even driving a child’s Barbie jeep without a license can get you in legal trouble.
Lincoln admitted police told him multiple calls had come in about his joyride, but denied claims he was in the middle of the road, saying he mostly stuck to the sidewalk until construction forced him over.
Despite the unusual circumstances, Lincoln says he doesn’t hold any ill will toward the arresting officer. “He was really nice,” Lincoln recalled. “He was filling out all of this paperwork, saying ‘This is my first time!’”
Lincoln confirmed he is facing a DUI charge and plans to fight the ticket, though he offered one clear message to others: “Don’t drink and drive.”
The case joins a string of bizarre impaired driving arrests this year. In July, a Florida man was charged after police found him riding a lawnmower on the highway.
