Twitch has banned League of Legends streamer Maks ‘Drututt’ Przychodzień for a “misogynistic” hashtag on his stream, but the creator says it’s being taken out of context.

Like many LoL streamers, Drututt was broadcasting when the game’s new season went live, looking to capitalize on the excitement, but his stream title caused some controversy.

On January 9, he was banned on the platform, in what alert service StreamerBans listed as his eighth total suspension on the Amazon-owned service.

According to Drututt, a hashtag on his stream caused the issue, but he claims he was poking fun at himself and not trying to be offensive.

Drututt claims he was banned for “nowomen” hashtag

Shortly after the ban, Drututt revealed Twitch had banned him for a week.

“Got nuked for having a hashtag NOWOMEN on my stream, right next to tags like RANGEDTOP and UGLYIRL,” he said.

The Polish streamer added that Twitch believed his hashtag was “misogynistic,” but he adamantly denied this was his intent.

“They said it’s misogynistic when the tag’s purpose was to poke fun at an uglyirl streamer who gets NO WOMEN in his life. 7 days at the start of [a] new season is amazing.”

Some users began wondering if Riot was okay with his brand of “edgy humor,” given that he and Forsen announced their tier 2 NLC team 4 SWINES & A BUM.

The streamer once again denied being sexist, simply replying, “What is wrong in getting 0 women, bro?”

Another suggested he should have used hashtags like “nogirlfriend” or “maidenless” instead, but Drututt had an answer for that, too.

“My vocabulary isn’t rich enough to think of a word ‘maidenless,’” he shot back, arguing that Twitch should either have warned him or removed it themselves.

In any case, it doesn’t seem like Twitch has budged on their decision, and the streamer will likely need to serve out the rest of his ban because of what he believes was a misunderstanding.
