Logan Paul has sold the rarest, most expensive Pokemon card in existence, after originally paying a whopping $5.3M for it several years ago.

The rarest and most valuable Pokemon card ever made is the elusive Pikachu Illustrator.

First released in 1997, the card was awarded to winners of an illustration contest run by CoroCoro magazine, making it a prize rather than a retail release.

Influencer-turned-WWE star Logan Paul achieved a world record for the most expensive Pokemon card after buying it at a private sale and went on to wear it during his WrestleMania debut.

Now, after over 4 years, Logan Paul has agreed to sell the card and it’ll be auctioned off on February 15.

Logan Paul finally sells Pikachu Illustrator in massive deal

In the newest season of Netflix’s King Of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch, Paul negotiated to sell his ultra-rare Pokemon card to auctioneer Ken Goldin.

During negotiations, Goldin explained that he wants to do the biggest Pokemon and TCG auction ever, and offered Paul a “piece of every single thing,” suggesting that the whole lot could sell for $25M.

Paul, however, wanted something to make the deal better, and ended up going back and forth with Goldin about an up-front offer, leading the auctioneer to cut him a check for $2.5M.

“Ken Goldin has been chasing me for years trying to convince me to sell this Grail and he finally did it,” the influencer said on Instagram. “This was a very hard decision and I’m not sure we’ll ever see this card for sale again but I’m 60% sure I made the right choice to sell.”

In total, Paul got the $2.5M advance against the winning bid, along with a piece of the entire auction.

“On February 15th, the greatest Pokémon and TCG auction of our generation will take place, anchored by my 1/1 PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator — the rarest and most valuable Pokemon card in existence. It comes with the custom chain and I’ll hand-deliver to the buyer.”

During an interview with Fox, Logan revealed the chain alone is worth $75,000.

We’ll have to wait and see how the card ends up selling for and how much Paul makes from the whole auction when all is said and done.
