In what is probably the most absurd culinary collab of the year (so far), the viral Chinese toy brand Labubu has released a variety of sweet treats that fans can indulge in.
If you weren’t already sick to death of Labubu and find yourself questioning, what would a Labubu taste like, then these chocolate-themed Labubu dessert items will tantalize your taste buds.
The viral toy sensation is no longer just a popular fashion statement, as you can now consume them thanks to a new food collab with Belgian chocolate brand Godiva.
Revealed via Oricon on February 16, Godiva Japan will begin selling the chocolate Labubu collection at Godiva shops, cafes, and via the Godiva online shop from February 18.
Labubus turned into edible treats
As for what’s included in the edible collection, Popmart fans can sink their teeth into Labubu-shaped milk chocolates, enjoy a dark chocolate ganache wrapped in dark chocolate, and sip some tea with a Labubu-themed tea cup.
There’s even an indulgent hazelnut chocolate drink that comes with extra chocolate shavings, and of course, a cardboard Labubu motif, just in case you were in any doubt about whether you’d be missing out on the cuddly critter.
Lastly, there’s the Godiva x Labubu dark chocolate soft serve, which features crunchy hazelnuts to create a satisfying crunchy texture. The special edition comes with an original Labubu sleeve and a metal spoon with a little face on it, which is just as creepy as it is cute.
So, if you happen to find yourself in Japan this February and have a hankering for a sweet treat, then it looks like Labubu has you covered. Of course, if Labubu really isn’t your cup of tea, then you can always eat Jujutsu Kaisen hyper-realistic Sukuna’s Finger.
