Streamers Kyedae and TenZ have confirmed that they have ended their relationship, with both addressing the split publicly and asking fans to stop spreading speculation and negativity.

Kyedae shared a statement on February 8 explaining that the pair had been separated for some time and that the decision was mutual. She said the breakup came after realizing they had stopped growing as individuals and needed space to develop separately.

“We’ve actually been broken up for quite some time now,” Kyedae wrote. “Toward the end of our relationship, we came to a realization that wasn’t easy to accept. We had stopped growing as individuals.”

The streamer explained that much of their six-year relationship was spent doing nearly everything together, including work, hobbies, and shared interests. She added that they moved in together just weeks after meeting and that from ages 17 to 24, their lives were almost entirely intertwined.

According to Kyedae, there was no single incident behind the split and no resentment between them.

“We know the internet often looks for ‘the tea’ but the truth is simple. We grew apart. There was no wrongdoing, no resentment, and no single event that caused this,” she said.

She closed her statement by thanking fans for their support and asking for privacy, while noting that they still care deeply about one another.

TenZ asks fans to stop “unnecessary hate”

TenZ later issued his own response after seeing online posts that he said were spreading false narratives and directing hate toward Kyedae.

“I’ve been seeing a lot of really weird posts about Kyedae and me that are creating false narratives and spreading unnecessary hate,” he wrote. “We parted on completely mutual terms, and we still care deeply about each other.”

TenZ directly addressed claims that Kyedae influenced his decision to step away from professional Valorant, stating that this was not the case.

“I also quit playing pro of my own accord and was never influenced by her to quit,” he said. “People’s goals can change over time, and that is just what happened with me.”

He added that comparing sacrifices in a relationship was unhealthy and urged fans to respect the decision they made together.

TenZ also highlighted that Kyedae continues to deal with ongoing health issues, making the negativity especially unfair. Kyedae previously revealed her cancer diagnosis in 2023 and has since shared updates on her treatment journey.

Both creators asked for privacy and understanding, emphasizing that the breakup was handled respectfully and without hostility.
