A Kick streamer was in Thailand broadcasting himself wandering through a forest at night when he came upon a tiger stalking him in the darkness.
While Kick has a reputation for hosting some of the wildest live-streamed content the net has to offer, one broadcaster’s adventures in a Thai forest are setting viewers’ hair on end.
Adi, real name Adrian Kozakiewicz, is an internet-famous animal lover with over 5 million followers on Instagram, 12 million on TikTok, and over 2 million subscribers on YouTube.
His content mostly revolves around handling and educating the internet populace about exotic bug species, but he’s familiar with other animals outside the realm of insects, too, including snakes, snails, and as it turns out, even tigers.
Kick streamer stalked by tiger in hair-raising nighttime encounter
On September 6, Adi took his viewers along for a late-night stream in the forests of Thailand. It’s worth noting that Adi often records himself wandering through nature at night to catch creepy crawlies, so this wasn’t something unusual for him.
However, things got hairy when he realized that he was being stalked by something in the foliage — and that something turned out to be one of the deadliest apex predators known to modern man.
Adi instantly froze and zoomed in on two yellow, glowing orbs in the darkness between the leaves. He was being followed by a tiger.
“Okay, when this is a tiger, there is only one of two possibilities for me,” he announced. “I’m shaking. I just run at it and scare it, or I [walk away] slowly.”
Adi took the second option, choosing to walk away from the tiger backwards at a slow pace — but acknowledged that, if he survived, it would be the “best clip of my f**king life.”
During his slow escape, Adi continued to speak to his chat and even thanked new subscribers. Luckily, he was able to make his way out of the undergrowth without further incident, making for an unforgettable moment for both himself and his viewers.
“We just saw a giant f**king tiger in the forest. It had huge eyes,” he remarked. “There’s a large colony of elephants on this mountain… but I never expected a tiger here.”
Adi did exactly what is recommended in such a situation. Any time you encounter a big cat in the wild, experts suggest making yourself appear as large as possible, making lots of noise, and backing away slowly without losing sight of the animal.
Turning and running will activate the cats’ prey drive, prompting them to give chase and ultimately attack.
Tigers kill more humans than other big cat species partly due to the increasing presence of humans in their natural habitats.
Tigers are some of the most deadly big cats in the world, killing more humans on average than any other big cat species. With a bite force of 1,000 to 1,050 pounds per square inch (psi), its standard to be wary of these animals, which are unfortunately listed as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation.
Adi isn’t the first influencer to have a viral encounter with a tiger; in 2024, streaming star IShowSpeed entered a tiger enclosure during his trip to Thailand, and while he was safe and surrounded by animal experts, he still got the heebie-jeebies being around such massive predators.
