Kick streamer ‘Conner’ is being praised after stopping to help victims in a car crash that he witnessed during a live broadcast in downtown Los Angeles.
IRL streams are notorious for capturing wild and unexpected moments in real-time as streamers go about their daily lives in public.
You never know what might happen during such a broadcast, as one Kick streamer and his viewers discovered on January 18 during a drive through downtown LA.
Conner, a popular Kick streamer with over 21,000 followers on the platform, was cruising toward the Hilton DoubleTree near Little Tokyo when he witnessed the driver of a dark sedan run a red light, T-boning an oncoming white van going parallel to them.

At first, the sedan appeared to brake as if the driver was slowing down, but they decided to pull through the intersection anyway, striking the van and sending it toppling into the crosswalk.
The impact caused the van to tip over onto its side, leaving both Conner and his chat completely stunned. He quickly pulled out his phone and dialed 9-1-1 to report the accident, running into the street to help the affected drivers.
The driver of the van was trapped inside his vehicle, but emergency services were quick to show up to the scene. Conner offered to show one of the medics the dashcam footage he’d captured in his Tesla, which showed the sedan clearly tapping its brakes before proceeding into the intersection and hitting the van.
Conner, who often streams himself driving through LA while listening to a police scanner, had recently come from the site of a fatal accident that had resulted from a similar situation.
Commenters are praising Conner’s quick thinking and willingness to help, with one writing on X, “He needs an award.”
“That’s terrifying, glad someone caught it on camera,” another said.
“Good on the streamer calling 911 – not everyone has the common sense to know that they’re the one who needs to place the call in that situation,” another wrote on Reddit.
This is the latest car accident caught by a streamer in real-time after a two-car drag race ended in a dramatic accident that, thankfully, left both drivers alive and mostly unscathed.
And in May 2025, two streamers stopped to help the victim of a grisly accident that occurred on the highway, directing oncoming traffic away from the scene and calling emergency services while making sure to protect the victim’s identity.
