KFC has introduced a new limited-time Cheesy Melt burger across the UK, expanding its menu with a cheese-focused option that puts customization at the center of the launch.

The fast food chain says the new item is designed as a twist on a traditional cheeseburger build and replaces beef with fried chicken, with a separate cheese component poured over the top.

KFC UK and Ireland confirmed the release will run for six weeks, starting February 9 and ending March 22, with availability in participating restaurants and through delivery platforms nationwide.

What is in the Cheesy Melt Burger

The Cheesy Melt Burger includes an Original Recipe chicken fillet topped with a crispy hash brown, lettuce, and onion chutney. A pot of Hot Cheese Sauce is served on the side, so customers can add it themselves.

Prices begin at £7.99 for the burger on its own, while a box meal is priced at £10.49. Extra portions of the cheese sauce can also be purchased separately for £1.99 each.

KFC shared the news in an Instagram post featuring a man dressed up as a rat holding a flamethrower.

Discussing the rollout, Dani Ruggles said: “With the Cheesy Melt, we are listening to our fans. We know that right now, they’re not just going crazy for cheese, but cheese you can dip, dunk, and even pour exactly how you want.

“Our delicious Hot Cheese Sauce puts them in control of just how cheesy they want their meal to get.”

This comes just weeks after KFC brought poutine to America with new bowls that feature fries, gravy, nuggets, and cheese curds.
