Twitch star Kai Cenat released a public statement on Instagram addressing “rumors” and “speculation” surrounding his viral breakup with ex-girlfriend Gabrielle ‘Gigi’ Alayah.
Kai Cenat posted and quickly deleted the statement from his Instagram stories on February 13, 2026, more than a month after his split from Gigi in December 2025.
While the streamer’s post was intentionally vague, he admitted that it was “confusing to see news about me and the people around me that isn’t true,” warning fans to be wary of any claims that don’t come directly from him.
“There have been rumors, speculation, and comments made about my previous relationship and my friends,” he wrote. “I want to apologize for not addressing things sooner, but I needed to take a step back from social media and process everything.
“If there’s ever something important, something real for me to address or say, you will hear it directly from me. You’ll always hear it from me. Don’t let all the noise distract from that. This applies to everything in my life. My relationships, my businesses, my streams, everything. I wish the best to Gabrielle and ask to please respect both sides.”

Kai Cenat went public with Gigi in December 2024, surprising fans by bringing her onto his live stream to celebrate his 23rd birthday.
The two dated throughout 2025 without much ado. But later that year, Cenat confirmed that he and Gigi had parted ways, writing in a blunt tweet, “I’m single. I will never be in another relationship again.”
The sudden end to the relationship took viewers by surprise, sparking rumors that Gigi had cheated on her internet-famous ex with rapper NBA YoungBoy.
Gigi hit back at these rumors in a post on her Instagram stories, calling them a “false narrative” and denying that she had ever cheated on Cenat.
She opened up more about the situation in a lengthy YouTube video titled ‘The Real,’ where she notably called out Kai’s assistant, Brianna Lewis, for allegedly meddling in their relationship.
She accused Lewis of creating falsified screenshots that showed her ‘speaking’ with another man during her relationship with Kai. Lewis hit back, saying she was merely protecting the streamer, as she’d been representing him since he was 19 years old.
Additionally, Gigi claimed that Kai had started behaving differently after his viral Mafiathon 3 streaming marathon, saying she’d distanced herself from him so he could pursue his self-improvement journey of reading and designing his new fashion brand, Vivet.
